Deng Xinli / Mount Top Studio
Deng Xinli is a seminal practitioner of Chinese contemporary surrealism, demonstrating distinct transcultural characteristics in his artistic evolution.
Trained at the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and later refined at New Zealand’s Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, his dual educational background roots his visual language in classical Chinese aesthetics while assimilating Western modernist experimentation.
Academically described as “Oriental Transfiguration of Neo-Pop Surrealism,” his works deconstruct traditional landscape motifs and reconstruct virtual realities, forging a unique Zen-Surrealist style.
