1 / Ryan Mateo Art

Step into my home‑based wire‑sculpture studio and discover a world where metal twists into expressive art.

As a self-taught artist, I blend craftsmanship with interactive fun. Visitors will enjoy an immersive experience of weaving and shaping metal wire themselves, guided by hands‑on sculpting stations.

The exhibition showcases a mix of hanging and table‑mounted wire sculptures that spark curiosity and conversation, plus a selection of original paintings available for purchase. Guests can watch the creative process, try their own wire weaving, and take home a unique sculpture or painting from the showcase.

About
Ryan Vincent P. Mateo is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of structure, form, and emotion through wire sculpture and mixed media. With a background in architecture and construction, his artistic practice is deeply influenced by spatial awareness, balance, and the transformation of raw materials into expressive compositions.

His wire artworks are characterised by intricate detailing and fluid movement, capturing both the strength and delicacy of the medium. Each piece reflects a dialogue between precision and spontaneity, often inspired by human experiences, nature, and the built environment.

Based in New Zealand, Ryan continues to expand his creative practice by experimenting with new materials and techniques, translating his technical expertise into compelling visual narratives. His work aims to engage viewers through form, texture, and interpretation.
